Today we leave the city behind for one of Japan's most scenic experiences.

Hakone is well suited to a full-day excursion from Tokyo and offers a combination of mountain scenery, volcanic landscapes, ropeway views and Lake Ashi.

Tokyo → Hakone

We travel from Tokyo towards Hakone.

THE HAKONE SCENIC CIRCUIT

Hakone Tozan Railway

A scenic mountain railway journey.

Hakone Cable Car

Continue upwards through the Hakone mountains.

Hakone Ropeway

One of the highlights of the day.

The ropeway crosses the volcanic landscape and offers views towards Owakudani, Lake Ashi and, on clear days, Mt. Fuji.

Owakudani

Explore the famous volcanic valley, known for its volcanic steam and dramatic landscape.

Guests can try the famous Owakudani black eggs, a local speciality associated with the area's geothermal activity.

Lake Ashi Pirate Ship

Continue towards Lake Ashi and board the famous sightseeing cruise.

The cruise takes approximately 25–40 minutes depending on the route and offers views of the lake, surrounding mountains and the famous Hakone Shrine torii.

Hakone Shrine

Photo stop at the iconic red torii standing beside Lake Ashi.

Guests wishing to visit the shrine itself may do so depending on available time, weather and group pace.

MT. FUJI

Mt. Fuji views are weather permitting and cannot be guaranteed.

We will focus on the lower and most accessible section rather than requiring guests to climb the entire mountain.
