Itinerary
You will be transported to the hotel after being collected from Kochi Airport. Take a trip to Munnar, At an elevation of 1600 metres above sea level, the town of Munnar is located at the point where three mountain streams converge: Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundale. This magnificent hill station in South India used to serve as the British government's summer getaway during its time there. The Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake, and Echo point are all great places to visit for some of Munnar's local attractions. In the afternoon, make your way to Rajamalai, which is home to the world's most endangered species of mountain goat, the Nilgiri Thar. Staying the night and dinner will be provided for you at Munnar.
After breakfast, spend the day going on excursions around the neighbourhood. The Tea Museum is one of the places that tourists should go to see since it depicts the history and development of the tea plants in Munnar. The museum charges an adult visitor Rs. 125/- to enter, and it is open to visitors until 5 p.m. Visit the Floriculture Centre Munnar if you have an interest in flowers and plants in general.
It is more often referred to as the Rose Garden, and it has over a hundred different kinds of flowers and medicinal herbs. The entrance fee is Rs. 30 per person, and the shop is open from 10 am to 5 pm. One of Kerala's five national parks, the Eravikulam National Park can be found near the town of Munnar. This park is home to a diverse collection of flora and animals, including the well-known Nilgiri Thar. The park shuts at four in the afternoon. The entrance price is as follows: Rs.120/- for an adult Indian, Rs.90/- for an Indian child between the ages of 5 and 12, and Rs.450/- for a foreigner. One of the most popular places for tourists to go while in Munnar is the Mattupetty Dam and Lake, which is situated in the middle of a verdant jungle. The cost to enter is forty rupees per person. Open from 9:30 am to 5 pm. In addition to that, you may go canoeing or horseback riding (depending on the availability of these activities). (starts at Rs. 50 and goes up to Rs. 700). The Kundala Lake and Dam is regarded as one of the most photogenic spots in the whole town of Munnar. In the morning, after breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and travel to Thekkady. When you get there, you will check in at the hotel. Continue with the tour of Thekkady's sites and attractions. Pay a visit to the Spice Plantation in Thekkady, take a leisurely walk around the enthralling farm, and learn about the numerous spices that are grown in the plantation's many areas. The cost is around one hundred rupees (Rs.) per participant. At a cost of Rs. 200/- per person, you may experience the incredible piece of art that is Kathakali, one of the most important traditional dance styles of Kerala, if time allows. In addition, allow yourself to be enthralled by Kalaripayattu, an ancient style of martial arts that is still performed in Kerala. Kalaripayattu is often regarded as the world's oldest and most scientific type of martial arts. The cost of entry is two hundred rupees (Rs.) per person. The entrance cost is Rs.33/- for an Indian adult, Rs.5/- for an Indian kid, Rs.450/- for a foreign adult, and Rs.155/- for a foreign child. Visitors are permitted to enter the site from 6 am to 6 pm. Because it is possible to see wild creatures while participating in the sport, boating on Periyar Lake is one of the most popular things for visitors to do while they are in Thekkady. After breakfast, you will need to check out of the Houseboat and then travel to Kochi Airport in time for your flight.
