Itinerary

Day 1: Airport – Colombo

Airport Welcome: Arrive at Colombo Airport, meet and greet in the lobby. Proceed to the hotel (approx. 40 KM, 45 mins). Standard check-in is at 2:00 PM.
City Tour: In the evening, enjoy a city tour of Colombo (approx. 1 - 1.5 hours).
Colombo Highlights:
- A drive through commercial and residential areas, including the tree-lined Cinnamon Gardens.
- Visit historical sites like Fort (former British administrative center), Sea Street in Pettah (Goldsmith's quarters), and the Bazaar area.
- Stop by a Hindu Temple, the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal (dating back to 1749), the Gangarama Buddhist Temple, and the Jami Ul Alfar Jumma Mosque.
Overnight Stay: Colombo.

Day 2: Colombo – Pinnawala – Sigiriya

Journey to Sigiriya: After breakfast, proceed to Sigiriya (approx. 165 KM, 4.5 hours) with a stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
Pinnawala Visit: Spend around 1 - 1.5 hours observing one of the largest herds of captive elephants, with a chance to see them bathe and feed. (Entrance fee: USD 10 per person, not included).
Overnight Stay: Sigiriya.

Day 3: Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya

Sigiriya Rock Fortress: After breakfast, climb the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress (approx. 3 - 3.5 hours). Explore this 5th-century citadel known for its Mirror Wall and ancient frescoes. (Entrance fee: USD 15 per person, not included).
Optional Minneriya Safari: In the evening, take a safari at Minneriya National Park (approx. 3.5 - 4 hours). This park is home to elephants, various bird species, reptiles, and butterflies. (Cost: USD 52 per person, not included).
Overnight Stay: Sigiriya.

Day 4: Sigiriya – Matale – Kandy

Dambulla Cave Temple: After breakfast, travel to Kandy with a stop at the Dambulla Golden Cave Temple (approx. 1 - 1.5 hours). Explore its statues and artwork, and enjoy panoramic views from the top of the 160-meter-high rock. (Entrance fee: USD 8 per person, not included).
Matale Spice Garden: Continue the journey with a stop at Matale’s famous Spice Garden.

Day 5: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Train Ride to Nuwara Eliya: After breakfast, board a scenic train from Kandy to Nanu Oya (2nd class tickets, subject to availability).
City Tour of Nuwara Eliya: Explore "Little England," a hill station known for its colonial architecture, golf course, and picturesque landscapes. (Duration: 40 mins).
Overnight Stay: Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya – Bentota

Transfer to Bentota: After breakfast, travel to Bentota (approx. 215 KM, 5h 40 mins). Spend the evening at leisure.
Overnight Stay: Bentota.

Day 7: Bentota – Airport

Departure: After breakfast, transfer to Colombo Airport for your departure (approx. 115 KM, 1h 45 mins).
